738 Verona Court is a cool little house about 120 paces from the sand in Mission Beach, San Diego, CA, 92109. Close to La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Sea World, Downtown, and only a few steps to both the beach and the bay. One of the great beach areas in southern California. Very family-friendly and a super fun place for the younger types as well.

Note: This is not a party house. You are of course encouraged to have a good time, but outdoor partying must end by 10pm, and if the police are called you will sacrifice your damage deposit. The jacuzzi deposit will be forfeited if the service technician has to drain the water. Please shower before using the jacuzzi.

General Information/FAQ
  • Q: Why the "police deposit"?
  • A: Loud parties are not suitable for mission beach -- houses are extremely close together, and walls are thin. If the police come, the owner is fined and the house will be placed under probation.

  • Q: Can you drink on the beach in San Diego?
  • A: No. Our wonderful city council just banned beer on the beach in their infinite wisdom. Contact Kevin Faulconer, the genius behind this idea, to register your displeasure. Consult FreePB.org for more info.

  • Q: Why the cleaning fee? I'm not messy!
  • A: We have to wash the sheets, mop floors, vacuum, replace paper products, etc. and the cleaning service charges $80, so there's no profit in that for us.

  • Q: Is the ocean warm? Will the sharks eat me?
  • A: In the summer the ocean is 72-76F, so you won't need a wetsuit then. In the winter, it's cold. The last shark bite was in like 1950, but there are stingrays, so shuffle your feet.

  • Q: I heard smoking is illegal on the beach -- true?
  • A: True. Kind of silly but smokers don't clean up after themselves, so a ban was enacted in 2007.
